My prediction is that the AVERAGE temperatures are likely to stay the same. The key word here is "average", there will be more RECORD temperatures both cold and hot. The reason for my belief in this (pseudoscientific) prediction can be found in the study of a classic science experiment where water is boiling and freezing at the same time.
