Drugs of choice

People can go to jail for having small quantities of marijuana.
I guess that would be like getting caught with a small bottle of liquor during Prohibition. Pot, like alcohol, has been around for centuries and used by the locals for an alternative relief from the usual 24/7.
You will find abusers and addicts in every group.

I believe alcohol is just as damaging, if not more damaging ...to society.
Certainly a lot of money and time is spent processing pot smokers as CRIMINALS in today's American society. To me, that is wrong.
Although I'm not for legalization, I would like to see small quantities decriminalized (as they have done up in Canada), so they can free up the courts and prisons for violent offenders, sexual and corporate predators, etc...

The way they have this "war on drugs" is nothing but a money hole for the bureaucracy. It doesn't work and it is eating up a lot of taxpayers dollars that could be spent looking and catching real criminals for the harder drugs.
