Same situation with The Terminator - if the Terminator kills John Connor, then it has/had no reason to go back in time in the first place.

Thus the idea of the alternate timeline was born. But if these guys are saying it doesn't happen because of some quantum physics law, then perhaps we are the only reality around.

So what does this say about free will and such?
