Wasn't Omega Point...

Hi RL

The end and Anastasis was only a few decades ahead of the characters' own times, unlike the quadrillion year Omega Point. The ending was consistent with the technology and the concept of resurrection as a moral imperative even amongst atheists has been around long before Tipler's ideas. I thought it was quite good - if a touch deus ex machina, but still within the parameters of the concept's abilities.
