The outline and breakup process of Gondwana is very interesting. I've often seen maps showing the outlines of Pangaea, Gondwana, etc. However I've never seen any attempt to simulate the mountain ranges, rivers, valleys, etc. of these ancient continents. The rift zones that formed when the continents broke up must have rivaled the Grand Canyon. Also I'm sure there were mountain ranges of comparable beauty to the Rocky Mountains or the Sierra Nevadas that are now gone without a trace. I would think a clever geologist with a skill at computer programming could cook up something that simulated the formation of ancient moutains and rivers. Has anyone seen an example of this?
