Sorry. Should have been "Democratic leader."

I've noticed that I have a tendency to use "Democrat" when I mean "Democratic politician," which is misleading at best. I'll try to watch that.

But as far as Democratic leadership goes, I stand firmly by my assessment. Ted Kennedy, and a number of others, do not want this war won, and they aren't kidding anyone about their motives.

If everyone took the reasonable views you present in your list, I'd be happy. It does make one wonder why our media, the source of our news and information, has placed itself at the anti-war extreme, instead of the more moderate place where you appear to be.

As far as Rowe goes, he fell into roughly the same broad-brush trap as I did, but I was there after 9/11, and I saw the marches, the pundits, and those leaders of the Left who insisted that violence wasn't the answer, and that we should be asking ourselves why such an attack would take place and what we did to bring it on. I can link to examples here, if you like. If not many Democratic politicians were saying the same things, it's largely because they were cowering in terror of their constituents.
