Space/Science » in reply to $333 million dollars just blown away

Invested, Astro

These things come in with higher frequency every 26 million years or so, and it appears we're heading towards a period of "higher activity".

What we learned here was how to intercept one of these things, and how to penetrate it. It is a certainty that someday in the future these skills will be quite useful, and as a matter of fact they will be essential. Given the known damages, the return on these investments is quite high.

In the immediate future, there's an asteroid coming in under the comsats just a few years from now, and presently no one knows exactly where it will end up afterwards.
