Real Constraints
Don't forget that you need to acheive all this within 100 Ma of the formation of the solar system in order for a naked proto-Earth to be available for the Moon-forming impact.
That doesn't allow much time, and makes it hard for an "overcompressed" planetary core to survive the impact process without being disrupted out of its "compact" state.
It's still bulldust, and contradicts dozens of known facts and observable data points in the Solar Syatem and on earth. In return, it offers little in the way of new analysis of planetary systems. It's an appeal to magic - a "delayed decompression" from a fictitous and easily disprovable former "state" of the Earth.
