For the record...

...I don't own any books by Coulter, Hannity or Limbaugh.

My view of them is that they are useful tools. Useful in the sense that the conservative movement had lost its mouthpiece and was being talked over by folks like Carville back in the early 1990's. The three mentioned above aren't true conservatives but act as mouthpieces much as Mary Matalin is a paid mouth. That she ended up marrying Carville is not much a surprise. Neither truly believes their rhetoric and believe instead in the sound of the ready-teller balance receipt release.

They're paid advertisements for a movement even though it's quite obvious none are representatives of their movements. Being MEDIA means you are automatically moderate on many issues.

Besides, buying sound-bite books on politics or current events leads to intellectual malnutrition.

And I haven't changed my position which is: Love thy American neighbor if you can...if not...at least grant them dignity by showing courtesy and no open hostility.

Same goes for posting. We may hold views in opposition but that does not darn us to a 7 year hate fest post-a-thon such as the Phil/Lindy love-in. We can communicate intelligibly, voice views and ideas without resorting to stereotyping the person we are addressing and show each other basic consideration. Posting a regular death-toll , like posting a regular Bush/GOP in Power post seems contrary to that consideration.

That's all I am saying. Maybe that's just my interpretation. We can always have Frank throw together a poll on the matter if we want to come to some statistical truth.

;-)
