Ring World without Rishatra?

Actually, I like the Ring World series but can Hollywood be trusted with a story that includes a tiger man and vampire analogs?

I would also fear that it would come out looking like one of those hokie Lost Island, Journey to the Center of the Earth bombs they are always doing.
