I don't know what state you're in--I'm in a state that doesn't have "life without parole" but certainly has, and utilizes, the death penalty.

but . . . what's the difference? If you sentence a man to death, he dies in the confines of prison. If you sentence a man to life without parole, more than likely he won't serve his time in the confines of death row. Thus, he'll be fair game to those in the population who have the personalities that keep them from facing the consequences of their real deeds.

What's worse--several years in heavy restriction followed by the freeing of the spirit, or life with no hope and constant exposure and participation in a culture of perversion?
