no wonder they looked identical .. I was looking at the same pic both times - the B&W one. Sorry bout that .. I don't do that very often

So if I now understand correctly, you've used MER surface portraits to simulate HiRise imagery .. with an expected resolution of 1m that might be fair enough ..
