Al Qaeda has published its demands many times. In summary, they are:

1. End of support for Israel.
2. End of support for Russia (in Chechnya).
3. Replacement of all governments by new governments based on the Khalifa (King) and Islamic Law.
4. Most importantly, conversion of every person in the entire world to Islam.

Al Qaeda will accept no compromise, no negotiation, no partial solution, nothing except complete victory.

This list of demands is an insurmountable barrier to any peaceful solution, and therefore calls for war by all civilized countries against Al Qaeda until it is totally destroyed. Nothing else makes any sense.
