I just deleted a message posted by LJK that consisted entirely of the entire text of an article at SpaceRef. Keith Cowing just emailed me to complain of copyright violation and to request removal.
I complied without hesitation because Keith is in the right. The material was used without attribution, and because it was the entire text, it was flagrantly beyond the "fair use" guidelines.
The rules, once again, are simple: 1) Distinguish other people's text from your own using at least italics, or preferably the <BLOCKQUOTE&tg; tag to provide that distinctive orangish background. 2) Always credit the source, and if possible provide a link back to the material (since most people get most of their material from the Internet, there will almost always be a link address available).
