He's a good man but was a poor president.
I voted for Carter twice and still think Carter is a good man. In time of peace with no danger on the horizon, Carter could have been a good president. In times of peace, it doesn't hurt to have an utterly moral man at the helm. Unfortunately when confronted with savage enemies like al Qaeda, people like Carter are not the best for making tough battlefield decisions. Fortunately our current president is well suited for that task.
