The same question was posed in each of the three polls. They have a list of standard questions that they apparently ask, but also add new ones over time, and don't necessarily ask all of them each time.

There is no Moon data for comparison, so I would be unable in the context of this discussion to make such a speculation as regards women.

As I noted, the Gallup poll is available if you sign up for a free trial period. There are, however, no directly correlative Moon numbers. There is a '99 "Man on the Moon" summary which makes the interesting note that the number of Americans themselves interested in going to the Moon had doubled from 1969 to 1999 to 27%. It also highlighted the appalling lack of Moon knowledge, in which only 50% of folks were able to correctly name the first human on the Moon, and only 5% could correctly answer the number of men to have walked on the Moon. On a brighter note, only 6% thought the Moon landings were faked.

I made no reference to $1Tn numbers, but I do remember that the public has already been sensitized to NASA sticker shock with the SEI numbers, so I do question the extent to which the "$1Tn price tag" is even relevent in the public mind. Nope, can't really speculate on that one either, not from the numbers we have at hand.
