I agree that Speer was an architectural genius. His "Cathedral of Light" must have been completely breathtaking.
But I've also seen photos of a mockup of a building he was planning for Goering that looked like it would have become a massive, oppressive weight on the face of the earth. The plans and models I've seen for what Hitler wanted Berlin to become all looked so heavy-handed. I always got the impression it wasn't Speer's doing, but rather his boss. Hitler clearly had some artistic ability, but I think he took weight and scale too literally. The core of Hitler's Berlin would have become a maze of walls. Imposing and strong perhaps, but impersonal.
I know not all the proposed Berlin structures would have been the same. There were some domes that might have been magnificent. But for the most part, Hitler seemed to like his buildings the way he liked his tanks (the Maus, I think it would have been called)...massive to the point of being ridiculous, and in the end entirely impractical. I've heard that he planned out several huge buildings that didn't have a single washroom. In his world, apparently, Germans didn't shit.
