Yes, we'll all be "demonstrably freer" when "the literal power of life and death" is taken away from a multitude of competing employers and insurance providers and replaced by a state-controlled monopoly run by politicians.
The mental block being demonstrated here is the actual reason "wage slavery" isn't going to be rationally discussed here. Are the workers in the pseudo-unions of totalitarian states "wage slaves?" Why or why not?
