Okay, you want to talk about it. Yes, Reagan used the Middle East to help us fight the Cold War. At the time it seemed a good idea. With the fear of being nuked over our head (a very real fear I remember well), and Communism conquering one country after another, and setting it sights on central America getting allies wherever we could against the culture that threaten to “bury us’ was not a bad thing at the time.

Heck, we saved most of the Middle East from the Nazis in WWII. Was that a mistake? Had we not done that, would the Middle East be under German control and there would be no terrorist threat?
