A man has died. He paid a high price for a bad habit that he gave up 20 years ago. He smoked during the 9/11 days but I'm not sure if he continued or quit again. It doesn't really matter at this point.

He was a highly respected journalist. I would hope both liberals and conservatives could have some respect.
