I'm old enough to have read the papers and understand what was really happening in the 60s and 70s. I lived in the south, at the height of the civil rights movement, and I watched Nixon's southern strategy being implemented with my own eyes.
I don't need to get my revised, politically corrected rewrite of history from the National Review. I lived through it.
