Republicans are not all racists, but they have shamelessly exploited American racism for votes, just like they've exploited religious fanaticism, nativism, fascism, fear of socialism, and people's uncertainties about the economy. The GOP has gotten in bed with everything that's ugly and despicable in the American soul. And they've carried this exploitation to new heights in the 21st century under the guise of "conservatism".
