...whining in WA is a current event. It will be a future event as well. Seattle's "Angst" is well documented by their regional papers, which Don keeps quoting. It's hard not to get the impression of a region where self-importance & complaint has risen to a level unparalleled anywhere in the world - well, outside of Europe and Berkeley. But Berkeley is more theatrical in their complaint. WA just is downer central.

2 Northwest jets suffer mishaps in Detroit
ROMULUS, Mich. -- Four tires blew out on a Northwest Airlines jet as it landed at Detroit Metropolitan Airport on Saturday, the first day of a mechanics strike at the airline. A second Northwest jet made an emergency landing at Detroit's Metro Airport a few hours later after flight attendants reported smoke in the cabin.

Army planning for four more years in Iraq

Seattle Hempfest

Hempfest, which bills itself as "the world's largest drug policy reform rally," is back.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Myrtle Edwards Park on the Seattle waterfront. Admission is free.
The event will include more than 60 speakers, bands and performers on six stages, exhibits, and panel discussions. One of the speakers will be Angel Raich, whose legal battle in favor of the medical use of marijuana went to the U.S. Supreme Court.

At least 50% of the liberals realize they're too liberal. Then there's the 27.4% MEGA-LIBERALS that are living in denial and feel Seattle is too conservative! LOL!
