Two ends of the spectrum is sufficient for a start, since, as you say, I can traverse the spectrum through links from the endpoints.
I'm going to bookmark your post think about it for a bit. As you point out, I need an argument to get a blogger off the mount and into the trenches. And I want to make sure that we don't go through the "Iranian student" experience again. If this be done at all, it best be done right.
You keep coming back to the virtues of multiple sources of information, and you're right of course. But it's still passive consumption, and I'd like to be able to get off the couch and question a source, poke around, interact, see what else I can draw out. Especially when the question we're debating is what's going through the mind of people. What they write in a blog is conscious artifice, but I want to understand them. Of course, that may just reflect my BBS prejudice, but I think of that metaphor to explain the failure of the government to share information before 9/11...smokestacks? silos? Yeah, silos, and the blogosphere an infinite plane/plain of silos. I want to make connections and see what synergy produces.
Or I may bellyflop. We'll see how it goes.
