The difference...
...between our own revolution and the Iraqis is that the American revolution was our own...something we as a people chose to pursue. Not so with the Iraqis. Their "revolution" is a creation of the United States government. They don't own it.
I certainly hope the Kurds, Sunnis and Shiites can find common ground. But at the current moment we appear to be trading a secular dictatorship for and Islamic theocracy. I don't think this serves American interests.
