It's not like they haven't tried, and perhaps even meant well.

I think we are getting a very good look at the good old boys club who draw in their members by greasing their palms. Morality has nothing to do with it. Money has been their incentive. Power has been their goal and turns out to also be their downfall.
"Constituents" no long matter.
By the people, for the people......uh no.
More like take the money and run and cover your ass.
And get out of Dodge ASAP. If not, you can always get the incoming President to bail you out of your sentence as part of the plea bargaining. Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton...........all guilty of bargaining for their incumbency.
