You miss a point here.
It isn't about "Not as bad as Saddam."
It's about Iraq being better off now than it was five years ago.
On a related note, I am continuously amazed at how the Left can erase an entire meme and reboot from scratch. Anybody remember "5,000 children a month dying from sanctions?" Now all I hear is "sanctions were working before Bush invaded."
