As far as the US is concerned, the only people who mattered effectively saying "F them" to the children of Iraq were Albright/Clinton. They were the ones in power at the time, not "the right", so whatever "the right" might have said wasn't worth a bucket of birdshit. Save your faux indignation for the Clinton administration (and the United Nations) and some real outrage for Hussein, who, uh, you know, really was ultimately culpable for every instance of suffering by the Iraqi people through the 1990s - if you want to play the "blame game" at all.
