I feel kinda wierd about the whole thing
In my opinion any and all financial assistance is wonderful, but kinda unexpected. We are, after all, quite a rich country. And the economies of many of these donors are much weaker than ours.
It's like if I lived in Beverly Hills and one of my mansions burned down, and some tract-home dwellers from the valley started writing me checks. Really I've got quite a lot more cash in the bank than they do.
Materiel, and special-team donations are another kettle of fish, entirely. Everyone must band together. Even still, I'm a little embarrassed that America couldn't pull it together by herself.
