Tom,

Thanks for the kinds words.

I am a County Administator in the Pacific Northwest. I am blessed with having some of the finest emergency management professionals in the country on our staff. Our efforts here have received national recognition, particularly in the area of flood disaster planning and preparedness. I am very proud of what we do and how we do it. Prior to my current job, I managed daily operations of a state agency responsible for state emergency management. I wouldn't say that I'm an expert in the subject, but I do know how to enable the experts to do their jobs.
