To the Democrats, this isn't about the hurricane, and never was.
This political attack has been loaded and ready for years. It was designed to be launched after a terror attack on the U.S., but they quickly and enthusiastically adapted it to the hurricane ("Bush promised to keep us safe!" That's one reason some of the attacks implying Bush could have prevented the attack...er...storm damage were a bit weak, even at the beginning.
I have done enough research on what happened and what the response was to form my own conclusions. The American people will too, as more information comes out, and they compare the reality with what the media was pumping out for a solid week.
