"I wish everyone knew how it works because more would see that CFCs aren't the big culprit in ozone depletion and would direct their efforts towards the real threat:"
I also agree that IF the sun gets hotter, then the Earth's climate will change, but I do not believe that the sun's energy output is increasing significantly to explain the changes that we are observing.
Several years ago I attempted to explain my view point on the subject but no one seemed to understand what I was trying to say.
I wish someone would do actual measurements of the total energy that is being released by all the radioactive nuclei's that are floating around and in contact with the atmosphere.
To get a handle on the energy levels of radioactive elements and their effects on the surroundings, it might be a good idea to understand some basics of the phenomenon, perhaps by observing, measuring, and calculating how much energy it takes to make the water glow in the storage tanks that house the spent fuel rods from nuclear power plants.
In my opinion, there is more danger to using nuclear power than meets the average persons understanding.
Trying to solve the worlds energy problems with nuclear power is like trying to cool a room by keeping a refrigerator door open, it may feel good being close to the door but the overall heat in the room will rise, making the overall situation worse.

- A very old idea, and a good one.
