Data mining?

If the Mohammed Atta documents were the product of a data mining operation, collecting vast amounts of data and documents from public and private databases (and saving all of it) in an effort to find something, anything, on him and his associates, it's quite possible that 2.5 terabytes of data could have been accumulated. Atta would most likely be the needle in a very big ditital haystack.
