Nothing new.
Since the primary function of unions today is political support for the Democrats and the Left, they've been in the same basket as the NAACP and Sierra Club all along.
The environmental movement isn't about the environment, any more than unions are about the workers or the NAACP is about minorities. Their goals for this country are what they've been for years. Nothing new about that, either.

Look at the players and their backgrounds and goals, and you decide what this will do for the country.
