I have been anxiety ridden since Katrina first formed off the coast of the Bahamas. These storms are like omens...........portending of ill winds and destruction to come.
Yesterday we had the first bands of Rita with some wind and rain. Today it's cloudy and the cloud patterns are swirling madly about and I am SO relieved it's not heading this way. (Key West may take a really bad hit though this time.) This anxiety is what is prompting me to move north, the feelings are as strong as leading a horse to water or a plant struggling up to the sunlight.
I cancelled a conference I had in Houston 2 weeks from now because I figured they could still get hit this year. These global weather changes are here to stay and I think to some degree will affect market production and all those living along the southern coasts. And now you're reading about a storm story.
Just get prepared.....lots of gas, a generator, batteries and maybe a small AC unit, cases of water and canned goods....you know the drill.
I used to think WE were safe being a 100 miles inland....not so anymore with the sheer size of these storms...
