I think this is a great first step.

Start building the hardware!

If we can get to the Moon then we can get to NEO's, and even the Moons of Mars...Then we might even be able to actually invade Mars!!!

The shuttle with it's "one size fits all" and airplane like design has been a failure for the most part. Time to scrap it and move on!

(Although I really got to get down there and see one of the final shuttle launches)
