Fine. The only reason newscasters babble endlessly is so that blind people can keep up with CNN. Never mind that most of the time what they're babbling about is irrelevant to what's going on.
I say they babble because a national newscaster thinks the sun shines out of his ass, and this is part of a much larger problem with the mainstream media.
I wish I had a tape of Cronkite during the first Moon landing. I don't remember him yammering through the whole thing.
