I'd like to see it cost-effective, results instead of ego.
I'd love to see Mars thoroughly explored, Venus too. That could be done with more robots, rather than delaying it messing around with life-support systems.
The safety requirements for manned flight are incredibly expensive and heavy.
Ultimately, Man should visit those places, but initially, maybe it should be done inexpensively.
Seems reasonable to me, anyway. Don't know what Hubble cost, but could have launched a bunch of them for the cost of the Shuttle.
