THe original is not flattering to Rice -- her eyes look heavy and dull. Definitely not supermodel stuff. A _mild_ dose of enhancement of the original would result in a more attractive look. Was someone careless/clueless and overdid it, or set out thinking "I can make Condi look like a bad Halloween prop"?
Certainly, this game goes on all the time, affecting politicians from *both* sides. Not usually photoshopping but careful selection of shots and cropping. Let me know when Drudge starts posting any photos of Hillary or Bill, or Kerry, Dean, etc which are *not* frightening and unflattering, and then I might react with more than a yawn to this UPI incident.
