There was a program on TV over here about christian evangelists in the US. In an evangelist university, a student claimed he had been in a university in France and didn't like the fact that doubt was reigning over here, rather than truth and certainty which he found among the evangelists.

Faith, religion, belief are what differ most europeans from people in the US. What's also stricking is how much faith and religion are linked to the flag, patriotism, faith in the righteousness of the US president even when he goes to war on illegal basis.
Also when Dirk (the one who calls himself SDAI) so easily used the word "evil", it also is revealing how much they believe in extremes and let much less room for interpretations and gray areas.

With doubt, there's room for progress, improvements, corrections.
Not with certainties.
