1000 people were interviewed, of which 40 percent were Republican, and 51 percent Democrat. Those who were asked the party affiliation after the poll questions instead of before turned out as 39 percent Republican, and 52 percent Democrat.
I have found numbers like this in almost every recent poll. This doesn't seem to bother anyone at all.
