I believe that any developed nation that is unable to provide free heathcare for the entire population regardless of income or insurance should be ashamed.
Medicare alone, which has racked up costs light years beyond the most pessimistic predictions, is already crushing the next forty years of Federal budgets. Somehow I have a lot of difficulty believing putting all of our 300 million population on such a program is going to improve this.
