But the claim was: "Sonograms are not healthy for a baby inside the womb. "
That just is not true. I made no personal attack in response - my entire post consisted of quotes of studies and 3 words of my own that I stand by: "Pseudoscience Kills People"
As for Cruise, trust me, I have ZERO respect for the lunatic- the idea of him procreating depresses me. Scientology is one of the more successful, and criminal, pseudosciences out there... Cruise's public statements about psychiatry were morally reprehensible, and he should be held responsible for the results... He ALSO is a pseudoscientist.
What disturbs me is the tendency of pseudoscientists to enter the life and death world of medicine. Surely you have seen the snake oil salesmen on late night infomercials carefully claiming that their 'seaweed extract will cure cancer' (of course they never come out and say that because it would break the law, but they imply it so strongly that it is criminal)...? Desperate people fall for this nonsense... and it DOES kill people. I listened to a quack on the radio explain that proper chiropractic care would mean that you would never have to get another immunization, "with all those deadly chemicals that are used to preserve the vaccines"... Pseudoscience kills people.
