I didn't ask you or anyone to believe it - in fact, I was just throwing it out there as the usual "excuse" pro-UFOers use to explain why most alien spaceships can't be seen except by a chosen few.
If there are ETI here observing us, I will presume they are advanced enough to remain hidden from our view with little problem. Of course I find it amazing that so many alleged different "species" seen over the decades have all managed to obey some kind of Star Trekkian Prime Directive not to interfere with less advanced cultures, nor even once made a mistake of any kind to alert us to their presence. And no, I don't consider Roswell to be anything more than a modern American myth of a terrestrial military activity blown all out of proportion by a public steeped in pseudoscience and a lack of critical thinking skills.
