Afghanistan - miserable mess, with a puppet president still guarded by US Special Forces because AFGHANIS CAN'T BE TRUSTED!
The Taliban is a powerful influence, long, long after President Bush declared the region free of them. Remember that?
OBL is still free, and the political puppet director of the CIA is pathetically, sadly, weakly reasurring the US and the world that the CIA knows more than it's telling publically. (What a farce.)
Oh, yeah. Lotsa opium is being grown. Lots.
Has to be a worst-case scenario. Black-and-white thinkers have to call Afghanistan a success. Forced to by their blind dogma.
The Predator attack on the al-Qaeda leader was apparently a fantastic success. I say apparently because the Bushies lie more than they tell the truth.
That would be a way to go. The other people killed seem to be truly collateral damage, and apparently voluntarily associating with the guy. Tough.
White Phosporous into an apartment building WOULDN'T be a way to go, for instance.
But yer version of the GOOD NEWS FROM AFGHANISTAN is just plain silly.
