I studied that formula and came to the conclusion that it was not complete, because it did not explain where, how, and why gravitational acceleration occurs in the vicinity of mass, also it left questions to be answered in all other areas where the observed effects of fields presented themselves.
Yes it is incomplete, and for exactly the reasons you say. That's exactly why Einstein developed General Relativity 10 years later. It extends Special Relativity to answer those very questions of gravitational acceleration and the effects of the gravitational fields, as well as those of electromagnetic fields. So your work's already been done for you - I suggest you 'stand on the shoulders' of this giant.
One of the great scientists of yesteryear said something to effect that: If I have seen further, then it is because I stood on the shoulders of giants.
Yes it was Newton; I don't know if it was an insult directed at his contemporaries. Because of the battles he had to endure, that could be true. But I always take that as a direct and simple statement of fact. People like Einstein, or Bach, would have said the same thing since that was true for them too.
(BTW my interest in German classical music could have something to do with a Germanic-Czech background in my mother's family; but it's mainly due to my own temperament I think)
You said: "Now on the other hand, I did feel this other post of yours went way off the deep end, and concluded that I'd wasted my time.
I sincerely hope that you give at least one more quick answer, this simply to clear up my curiosity and help me in understanding the mind set of a physicist, for you do have a good understanding of modern day physics. (At least in my humble opinion.) My question is: What exactly, in that post, was the deep stuff that turned you off?
I'll start from the very beginning and explain the meaning of the important words first.
Jumala = God = Creator
taivaan (taivas) = heaven = Space = Force = potential for motion = potential for energy = cubic area that does not contain any kinetic energy. I will refer to this fundamental constituent of the universe as 'potential force', and represent it with the letter u. The numeric value of 'u' can be calculated by using the formula u=cm2.
Potential force u = constant times mass squared.
maan (maa) = earth = mass = m = that which can move and change in density = the force responsible for kinetic enegy. I will refer to this fundamental structural constituent by the name kinetic force and in the mathematical formula it will be represented by the letter k. The letter k, has the same numeric value as mass or m. k=m
Valkeus (valo) = light = constant = c = that which can move (vibrate) at a very high rate per unit of time.
To me that is just arbitrary mythology and arbitrary natural philosophy, with symbols.
But I don't want to dwell on that anymore. What matters is the directiion you take in the future. For now I wish you again, all the best for the holidays ..
