I am looking at the price of gold and really wondering why it is increasing so much...Could it be that as oil prices have started to settle back to more reasonable levels that speculators have started to move their money into the next hot commodity?
Normally, one would think that a gold run-up was a sign of inflation, but why then are other commodity prices (grain) so depressed and oil has settled down...Also, where are the other signs of inflation in the economy?
In conclusion, I don't think the current run-up in gold prices is sustainable.
While on the subject of commodities, I think oil prices will also will eventually settle down to more reasonable ($50.00/bbl) levels.
(God all these economic predictions must be giving R.L. a bookmarking fit!)
