I am personally familiar with a number of successful lawsuits against the federal government relating to the Endangered Species act. People successfully sue the federal, state and local governments all the time.

And, yes, we must do something about CO2 emissions. Perhaps, the Inuits should amed their suit to include Hummer owners.
