Try Beijing
The aerial view of the Forbidden City is as high-rez as you could ask for.
I've toured a lot of the world I'll never see otherwise, via Google Earth: the Pyramids, the Parthenon, The Kremlin, the Eiffel Tower, the remains of Imperial Rome (and the Vatican, of course), Cape Canaveral... I haven't found the Brandenburger Tor in Berlin yet, but I'm working on it. And I've re-visited a lot of familiar places, too: Philly, NYC, DC, Chicago...
Google Earth also upgrades its images. The resolution over Victoria, BC, and certain parts of Pennsylvania has improved greatly since I first downloaded.
