You know how people talk about man made patterns supposedly designed to be seen from space: the Nazca lines, figures in the chalk hills in England, that scientology depository in New Mexico....?

Well, try and find them using Google Earth. Don't use the search feature, go look for them. Keep your altitude high, like 60 miles or so. Good luck. The scientology circles can only be seen from about 30 miles up. Still having a hard time finding the Nazca Lines. Haven't seen a crop circle yet....

The other fun thing to do is to grab the image with a left click, drag it a bit and let go. You'll fly along that bearing. Let it go for an hour the other day, just flying over the planet.
